I am getting an error with a WebSocket URL in my console.

I am having an issue with the chat too.

These are the errors I am getting in Chromes Inspector Console.

tom your messages containing the error were being held for review by the spam filter; we are looking into the issue and will post updates here

Hi,
I was able to reproduce the issue – a fix will be released in the following days. SO far it seems that the problem is at the theme level not the plugin so when a new theme version is released you will need to update.

I just tried adding the chat shortcode with my channel ID to my post page,
and I am not able to see the chat messages sent by users.
Can you please help me?

are you unable to see messages send by yourself or others?

at this time only registered users can post in chat, also, it will not allow duplicate logins (i.e. if you open the chat twice under the same login, only one will connect successfully and be able to send and receive messages)

I’m installing this on my site here

I drop the shortcode into the page and the video player disappears and is replaced by a big black chat box like this

Am I doing something wrong? How can I get the video and the chat to appear together at the same time please?

Hi,
That big black box is the actual chat window . If you will type something you will see messages appearing there. Anyway , this is a plugin and we provide the basic functionality – if you want the chat window smaller, larger, different colors etc you need to write your own custom css.

I also took a look at your website and it looks very good and did not see any functionality problems.

Hi,

It seems that there is a css conflict with something from your theme or another plugin.

Just add this css code
.wpstream_plugin_chat_wrapper {
position: relative;
}

and this should fix the problem
