This is most often caused by http/https inconsistencies in your WordPress setup and operation

A message similar to the following will appear in the browser JS console when this is the case:

Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://xxxx-x-xxxxxxxxx.live.streamer.wpstream.net/hls/ALBGlYaFiZy9t8SrM28EAjKZKAOqDuSs.m3u8' from origin 'http://xxxxxxxxxxxx.wpengine.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: The 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header has a value 'https://xxxxxxxxxxxx.wpengine.com' that is not equal to the supplied origin.

To address the problem, please make sure of the following:

    A. if your site is HTTP
-In your WordPress admin, under Settings -> General, both “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” must start with http://
-You must run your admin over http://.... when starting the channels (NOT https!)

    B. if your site is HTTPS
-In your WordPress admin, under Settings -> General, both “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” must start with https://
-You must run your admin over https://.... when starting the channels (NOT http!)

IMPORTANT: after you’ve applied the changes to match the above, you will need to create and start a new channel for your new setup to work; alternatively, wait for your ongoing channels to close and restart them
