Problem with translations
- May 7, 2020 at 9:51 pm #70969
Hello, I have problems translating a lot of items, like the yellow buttons that say “add to cart” and “buy now” or the hover text over the banner that say “categories”, “Actors”, etc.
What file do I have to edit to change language?
I tried the pot files to no avail and now I am using the Weglot plugin but that is not what I really need.
My site is http://www.preludiolive.com
Thanks for the answer.May 8, 2020 at 8:17 am #71053
Unfortunately it’s possible that some strings may not get translated and i may need to have a fix – However i’, looking at the strings like
and they seems all right . Please give me the exact urls & strings of the pages where you have problems and i will check it and generate a new pot.
Thank youMay 8, 2020 at 2:15 pm #71112
Hello, yes, I found that after writing this question. I am translating like that for now.
I am searching in wordpress through styles and I’ve found almost all of the missing translations.
Thanks!August 11, 2020 at 3:54 pm #71066danielblancoParticipantAugust 17, 2020 at 12:45 pm #86148
I’m confused – what are the strings that are not translating for you ? – There is no search” “cart” “User” but something like View Cart, Checkout etc.

Hello, I edited all through “Custom CSS” in WordPress to prevent losing the translations in the next theme update.
I would be great if the theme comes with a translation file.August 19, 2020 at 8:44 am #86374
Thanks for pointing this out – will do that in a future update.

Hello, I have the exact same problem (just like danielblanco). I translated the plugin via the WordPress Polyglots website, but all the sections that are on the right top menu bar (Cart, Search, Login/account) are not included in the translation strings. I digged into the plugin files and the theme files and found nothing. Can someone help me figure out how I could translate everything?

I think those are WooCoommerce strings. Can you give me exactly what strings are not translation for you.
I see that strings like

are marked for translation and should work fine.
If you have problems you have to post the exact string (a screen capture will also help ). I will check them in the code and fix if there is a problem.

I looked further into the pages coding, and I found a lot of references to “Wpestate”. I guess there’s a lot of languages strings that refers to a “wpestate” translation file but there is no such file into the wpstream plugin.November 27, 2020 at 3:15 pm #100212
Unfortunately you are right – I did a string search and found numerous issues with translation text-domain. We are in a process of addressing this and we will do a minor theme update next week with all this things fixed.
Thank you and I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused.December 2, 2020 at 8:44 am #100861
I just release the 1.6.1 version of the theme and all issues with the translatable strings should be fixed.
The text domain for the theme wpstream-wordpresstheme. This is for all theme related strings. There are also string from redux-framework (the admin interface) that are changed.
The plugin wpstream-elementor use the text domain ‘wpstream-elementor’
Please let me know if your found other translation related problems and I will address them.
